My company just changed their dress code to NO HOSE! I was hoping we could hold on but they caved to the bitching and complaining. So long beautiful hosed legs and feet and hello to shiny boney assed legs and feet. I am just sick.

That would drive me nuts to work in a place like that. You should start wearing hawaiian shirts and cut off denim shorts!

It’s like every time I see a pair of flip flops I just want to yell “YOU’RE NOT AT THE BEACH!!!!” And it pisses me off even more when they have the audacity to call them shoes! Ugh!!!!

The problem is, some women who like wearing pantyhose are now being fashion-policed right out of it. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen articles advising “never wear hose with open toed sandals” and I just want to scream. Years ago women who didn’t care one way or the other were persuaded into wearing pantyhose. Heck, remember those tall racks at the door of every convenience store? Those things sold like crazy. Now the packages just get dusty and I get depressed.
at my job i searched through our dress code policies and i found the section on “appearance” and it states “professional attire which includes skirts,dress suits,dress slacks,dress coat,dresses (knee length), stocking/hosiery, heels (any height).”

its been about almost a month now that i have worn pantyhose to work consecutively everydayand enjoying fully.
Today at the train station I saw a woman whom I guessed to be in her late fifties/early sixties. She wore a skirt and no pantyhose. She had the damned ugliest legs I’ve seen in some time. I wanted to shout out to her “hey, you have ugly legs…you really should try pantyhose.” Of course, I’d never really behave that way so I just turned away from the frightening sight.

that’s what more guys should do. raise up and challege these women. that’s a good idea. if the girls want no hose, threaten then with sandals and shorts. what’s good for the goose…..

It was making fun (of course) of this friend that had to wear them for work. And of course the idiot adds “If I had to wear nylons I’d quit my job!”

Read another article where a young intern in D.C. was bemoaning the fact that all her friends can wear flip-flops etc to work, but because she worked in a professional environment, she was required to wear pantyhose. She was bitching that when she meets friends after work, she still has her pantyhose on, and feels uncomfortable.

These girls were around 20, so I can pardon their ignorance. But it’s yet another example of how pantyhose have been eschewed in both the workplace and the club scene.

Make you wanna puke all over the place don’t it?

Bare legs, bare feet, with ugly toes that looks like crows feet or bear paws, watch out now she’ll kick you and scratch at the same damn time!

i’m not holding my breath for a miraculous rebound. I’m thinking they are going the way of hats for men. Before JFK, all men wore hats (fedoras and porkpies with cowboy hats in appropriate parts). For some reason, JFK stopped wearing a hat and they haven’t been seen since.
