fully fashioned nylon stockings
Alright, Now I know this is a bad picture, but this was the only way I knew how to make this work.
Look at my Avatar. This is a picture of 6 pairs of Legg’s Active Support pantyhose.

I purchased these on eBay this last week. I received them today. I took a pair out of the package and noticed that the panty portion of the garment has completely lost its lastisity but the Legs of the garment are just fine.

I would like to know if anyone knows where they might have come from. If they might have been a promotional product? Or, If anyone might know how old they might be.
Inside the package, there was a Manufacturer’s coupon. Save 50cents on L’eggs ACTIVE SUPPORT Pantyhose. And No expiration date.

I know that the image is really rough so I will tell you what it says.

For that extra lift non-stop legs thrive on. In the lower right hand corner there is a printed message that reads, Available at the L’eggs display.
In the lower left hand corner is the fiber content:

panty-95%Nylon 5% Spandex
legs-81%Nylon 19%Spandex
crotch-55% Cotton 45%polyester

If anyone could help me figure this out that would be great.
thanks

sounds like you got those pair that are cheaper cause they’re “imperfect”. i myself wear active supports and they hold up like a f@#kin tank. i got a couple pair of them that have way more wear than my other pairs.

Why not just send them to L’eggs with a written note saying you bought them at a convenience store or something, and you want replacements?

I had a couple pairs of Hanes boxer shorts that had improperly sewed on waistbands. I sent them back with a note, and they sent me a couple new pair.

I completely agree with Sheerhose. First off, the packaging is early 1990’s. It appears that they pictured the classic plastic egg container on the package which heaven knows how long has fallen out of use.
The fiber content also looks to be more along the regular Sheer Energy lines. Normal Active Support content is 70% nylon 30% spandex.

The oldest pair in my collection is from 1998, and also happens to be a pair of A.S. The legs are fine, but the control top is starting to run horizontally with the thread direction, and the waistband has deteriorated to the point that they sag.

This is unfortunately a fact of life for pantyhose and pretty much anything that contains elastic.

I’d like to add to this thread about pantyhose quality. We’ve never had the panty problem mentioned above. But, what happens after a few wears and washings is the upper leg loses it’s elasticity, just below the panty portion. It’s very visible, nearly like runs, but not quite. Anyone else experience this? We’ve noticed this with several brands, and no, it’s not because they were misused or treated roughly.
UPDATE:
Wow. I got the response I thought I would. This is so great.
Each package contained a 50c coupon. I took them all and went on a buying spree. bought 6 new pairs.
Thanks to everyone who helped me.
I think freaks Idea was a good one but I didnt think that L’eggs would buy that I got them at a convience store. They were not defects. They were just old. I did not think that they would replace them.
Kinda like buying a car, and 10 years later calling’em up saying “My car is worn out, please give me a new one.”
