My son and I were driving and he saw the local Walmart store and wanted to go so of course being the good father I went in. Unfortunately taking him into ANY store with toys in it is a bad idea since he wants everything he sees, but I digress. Anyway, here I am with my son in one of the toy aisles and I see this female manager, whom I can say I have never seen at any time in that store without her wearing pantyhose.
While my son looks at the toys I jokingly asked her if she would put me out of my misery, as my son simply would not cooperate, and she gave a chuckle. I then said that she was kind of an oddity, to which she got a confused look on her face and I said it was because she wore hose. She then told me that one of her relatives had asked her if she knew she was in Florida and it was hot down here, which it can be, and she said that she knew it was Florida and was not about to give up her hose. At this point I was kind of dumbfounded, but I told her that my wife is also the same way and wears hose all the time as well. She asked what kind and I told her Leggs Active Support and she then said she has had great luck with the store brand support hose and I should let my wife know about them.
Now let me say this, I was not really flirting but I can say the blunt conversation about hose did arouse me but I kept it well hidden, and paid attention to my son who through the whole conversation never took his eyes off the toys. I have seen this lady, who is probably in her early 40’s, several times and had been tempted to say something about her hosiery but for whatever reason I just came out and said it. Kind of glad that I did because I got the feeling from the way she said things that she may have a fetish for hose. I will not persue anything beyond what has been said but it certainly made a rough time at the store a little nicer!
This is a great story and confirms what I have always thought. That there is nothing to be ashamed of and if our interests conform to the moment, it can be quite pleasant without being unseemly. Attraction rather than solicitation. (You can bet a dollar to a donut she was wondering why you know so much about pantyhose. hee.) A lot of people mention getting the word about pantyhose out to more people. This is a prime example of the way the word gets out. By speaking matter of fact about ones interest in pantyhose without ulterior motive or agenda. Thank you.

BTW, props for initiating a conversation with her. I sometimes find myself in a situation like that where I could potentially start a hose-based conversation, but sure enough, I just know my wife or kids would come walking around the corner as soon as I did!
I basically had the opportunity and decided to take it. I think out of all the women I see working there she has been the only one that wears hose. Most of the time it is with walking shorts and flats, apparently because she is on her feet a lot and wants to be comfortable, however I have never once seen her not wearing hose.
What I think creeps women out if you start a conversation about something like that is if you simply act like a horndog and your tongue is down at your ankles while you talk. Because I did not really make a big deal about it and kept the same attitude from start to finish it may have put her at ease and she was quite open about it. I started the conversation by joking with her and just kind of walked into the pantyhose thing, but did not dwell too long so that it did not seem as though it were a fetish for me. This of course was not the first time I have ever had a conversation with a woman out of the blue about hose, in fact I did it while with my wife one time in a shoe store with a lady trying on shoes and she eluded to wearing pantyhose all the time and I believe I said something about my wife wears them all the time too. Short, sweet and to the point without being overly intense. That is a sure fire way to ensure that you can talk about almost anything as long as you do not dwell too long and make it too obvious.
