Hey everybody - just checked out my wife’s copy of Good Housekeeping since I saw Kirstie Alley on the cover (she’s so hot). In her article she talks about appearing on Oprah with a bikini on…

She insists that she wasn’t nervous beforehand. Well, there was one moment, when she was having pantyhose issues (she was wearing them under her bikini) and trying not to burst into hysterical tears. “The wardrobe person kept pinning the hose wrong and making them run, and I was getting more and more frustrated,” says Alley, her words coming out in a rush. “The hose idea sucked, but I looked better in the hose…I’m Irish, and if I get a big spray tan, I’m not going to look like J. Lo; I’m just going to look dirty”. She laughs. “And Oprah was leaving for her girls’ school in Africa right after the show, so she didn’t have time to mess around. It looked like [the pantyhose] was just going to be a giant mistake…nothing good about it. I was going to be white here” -she points to her top- “and pantyhose color on the bottom.” She takes a breath. “But it turned out OK. I was happy. I was glad I didn’t look hideous.” She grins.

Would have loved to have been in that dressing room!

Not true actually (for me anyway). I mean of course I always prefer to see a woman in pantyhose rather than bare-legged, but there are times. I can’t exactly explain it briefly, but take that woman Sweet for example - I’ve seen many pictures of her in exotic looking bathing suits at the beach wearing extremely shiny pantyhose underneath. And while it a total turn-on, if I were there to see it I would probably think it’s peculiar and wonder why she was wearing pantyhose at the beach (assuming I didn’t know she was into the pantyhose fetish thing).

On Kirstie however, the first time I saw the clip of her walking out on Oprah I almost didn’t even notice that she was wearing hose, and once I did I thought “well hey, that’s a nice look”.

…If that makes any sense at all… that’s my rant haha!
As for me, I would always rather see a woman in pantyhose than out, but there are some women who look and act remarkably unfemininely (is that a word?), like they have man legs, and man feet, and man hands, or they just stand and act manly.. I’ve even seen women who manhandle their pantyhose. To me, such women aren’t a turn-on, hose or not. Though, as I said, I would still rather see them on, in all cases.

There are also certain styles, like opaque or near-opaque, that manage to look unattractive by comparison to other styles, but again, I’ll take pantyhose over no pantyhose any day of the week on any woman.

People can say what they want about Kirstie Alley, but when she walked out on that Oprah stage strutting her stuff (to the strains of the Commodores’ “Brickhouse” no less) I was foaming at the mouth.

I love heavier women in hose and she looked great. Now if they would have been a shade or two darker, while not realistic from a fashion standpoint, would have probably caused me cardiac arrest.

I think she looked great coming out on that stage and it took a lot of guts to do it in the first place having gone from where she was to where she is now. I agree with some others here, love a larger lady in nylon because to me that is what women look like, not the skinny, super thin models they like to try and pawn on us in the media as being feminine. Give me a little meat on the bones and add some hose and I am totally drooling!
