Yes, it is possible. I purchased some vintage ultra sheer, 100% nylon pantyhose from Ebay. They were bone in color and I wanted them darker so I bought black dye. To ensure a good “grab” of the dye I put the hose in the dye dry and I let them soak for about an hour. I then rinsed them very well in cold water. Next, I washed them in soapy water and soaked them in a Downey rinse before wearing. No dye bled onto me or my clothing. Make sure you buy a dye suitable for synthetics.
