I used to hate them, particularly the very thick onces that only came part way down the calf. The current trend for them to be more sheer and more ankle length is growing on me.

What they are worn with is important too, this season it seems to be a style taken on by taller generally better dressed women often coupled with heels.

Alas I cannot make it out there (unless for some reason I get a job interview out in Vegas) but I know some of you will. I don’t know if anyone else can say this, but I’ve seen more women wearing pantyhose this winter season than I have in a long time. I live in a college town, so maybe that has something to do with it. Hose and boots seem to be on the rise here. Older women, as well as younger women are wearing them. Some do and some do not, just like any woman. However, I believe that it does depend on the sect. Growing up, the Notre Dame nuns who ran our school all wore them and some even wore pumps with an immodest heel. OTOH the local catholic nuns wear ho-chi min sandals every time I have sen them so wear black tights in the winter but go bare legged as soon as weather permits.
