For me, age isn’t an important issue. Obviously there’s the law to consider and if you’re going with someone below the legal age of consent you have to watch your back VERY carefully.
But I define my own morals, and some people grow up much faster than others, something which the law doesn’t take into consideration. For me, it’s defined on a case-by-case basis. I met my fiancé back when she was 15 and I was 18. It was illegal, but she was (and is) more mature than myself!
I’ve been doing sexual things for as long as I can remember (at least age 4) and started having full sex at age 8. What really pisses me off about the law is that it assumes all people below the age of 16 (18 and even 21 in some countries) aren’t able to make educated decisions by themselves. This, to me, is bullshit. I knew all along what was happening when I was 8 years old and I knew everything that was involved, both physically and emotionally. I haven’t been scarred by my experiences, quite the opposite infact, I believe it’s helped me to become a much more open-minded individual. So where’s the immorality in that?

If one sets the limit at the point where most people have a good idea about what they’re getting into AND can handle that, then the limits are way too low. Until you’ve lived on your own and supported yourself successfully through a number of life’s ups and downs, you don’t have sufficient real life practice doing your childhood theories about how things should be to be able to get make good judgements about what you might be getting into.
But this view holds strongest in our day and age where relationships do not last any longer than our whims. If things were different and copulating couples stayed with what they started, then it probably would only take one of the partners with sufficient life wisdom to make a good judgement, not today’s two — as long as they both knew they also had to overall behave well towards each other henceforth.
Nonetheless, this whole question ignores the fact that sexual couplings often occur when neither partner has any idea what may come the next second of what they do this second (and often don’t care to loook beyond this second). No society that I know of has ever been able to stop such youthful couplings. In these cases its therefore crucially important what the other people around them do after that second.

So, The question is, how low will i go in age for sex and just general playing around?
Well, for playing around with a girl, the lowest age i would go is probably 7.
The lowest age i wuld go for sex is probably 9 or 10.
i’m 23 now and when i was 20, the youngest girl that i had sex with was 14.
like what nathaniel said, i think when it comes to morals and deciding whats right and wrong in our own minds, i think we should be in control and not the law…

I answer to the original question, I would say that it depends upon the personality and maturity of the individual involved.
There are some very hot 20 year olds that are just too damned immature for a sexual relationship.
Other individuals either take things too seriously and become head-over-heels ‘in love’ with you that it complicates wider relationships.
Still others are so traumatised by the ‘guilt’ of incest that either they blame themselves or you and thus begin a cycle of destructive actions and reactions that threaten yourself and others.
On the other hand some individuals, not yet having reached sexual maturity, are wise beyond their years and have a surprisingly healthy, pragmatic approach to sexual liaisons.
