Last night, I found out that a good friend (Robin Malta) had been found murdered in his home. He was a 43 year old, hair stylist here in New Orleans. He was a former Grand Marshall of the New Orleans Southern Decadance Celebration. This was a guy who embraced life and all it had to offer.

My reason for posting this is simple: go see your friends, spend time with them, tell them how you feel about them, because they may not be around tomorrow.

My friend Robin and I, saw each other last week and said we must get together for lunch or drinks. However, the everyday bull shit got in the way for both of us. We never did hook up. Now he is gone, a victim of fucking violent crime.

Wow, I don’t know what to say… Sorry for your lost. Reading it is sad enough but it must have hit you like a sac of bricks.

It does make me value every moment I’ve ever spent with my friends. My best friend is heading out of town for a few weeks and I’ll be sure to give him a big hug at the airport just because you never know when your not going to see them again. Jt really makes me want to strive to make every moment special with them.
