Is calm the name of the gathering that happens in ocala??
I cant find info on this maybe Iam not looking in the right place.

but what is it? if someone says they may not do calm this year, what does that mean?
if someone is talking about "doing calm", they mean setting up an area (or helping with) that will heal wounds. this is where the "first-aid" kit is, the bandaids, the herbs, and the knoweldge of how to use them properly.

I would love to volunteer for calm, setting it up and I have had almost 6 years working in nursing, at a hospital here doing icu stepdown and geriatrics.

I love to help as much as I can, who do I talk to about volunteering for calm, and when does it start?
you can talk to the folks in council, on the land, when the feather comes around, sharing your vision and offering your help. you can also plug in then, as others should be focalizing what needs to happen to make a gathering safe for all, the issue of CALM will be brought up, i’m sure.

if you vocalize an interest in helping CALM and mention that you have nursing experience, the people you need to find will find YOU!

By the way I forgot to mention I looked at the website for Ocala NF, and it says the fee for camping is $4.00 a day is that year round?

i know it sounded strange to me to, but thats what it said. and i was afraid i wouldnt have enough money. have they ever charged the gathering for being there?
theres no organization to speak of that they could charge…i suppose they could try and charge individuals for camping but i cant imagine that happening…no, gatherings r entirely and 100 percent free…

the gathering is always free, the camping fee you mention is for designated campsites with auto’s, such was Buck lake and other campgrounds of the sort. foot traffic is free..

if any one trys to charge you for entering the gathering then they are scaming you..
