i no longer spange….but my favorite was always…."bet you cant hit me with a quarter!"
when we broke down 6 times on our way to nationals this year I had to make a sign and the sign worked every time. It said something like, "Truck broke, help please."

i rarely ever fly a sign. my last one said "this sign for your extra" at a darkstar show. all my years homeless or havin the broke down bus, i think i only flew one sign. never spare change either. it takes all the magic out in my opinion, all the adventure. im all about havin a little help, but i dont like to advertise, i figure im advertisement enough.
If I’m flying for food or gas, it’s "Traveling, Broke and Hungry! Anything helps! God Bless!"

I’ve never felt the need to fly a sign as I’ve never been stuck in a situation that warranted one, but if I were to become a panhandler, I always thought it’d be great to fly a sign reading:

I do wish folk would lay off the signs when at the nearest town from the gathering, but I can’t preach it if I ever have to breach it! Shit happens, and sometimes you have to write something down. I can’t imagine that’s illegal someplaces, it’s like having an illegal "peaceable assembly" First Amendment to express my thoughts! So just don’t write- help me and you should be good anywhere where panhandling is illegal. Do the "bet you can’t hit me with a quarter" or I’ve done "goin’ home, and lov yah, god bless, but ____ town ain’t it" "goin’ home, 1/2 way there" "ever been outta gas? coolest sign i ever saw was ( family killed by ninja’s need money for karate lessons) .. but the one i use is basic (homeless and hungry need help)… it helps that i weigh 90lbs soaking wet though..

i have flow sing time and time and i feel sings dont help at all really i just walk and for the most part there either gonna pick u up or there not gonna weither u have a sing or even hold out your thumb i do hold out my thumb look at the on coming car and smile and sometimes it helps but normally from my experiences there gonna pick u up if there gonna do it no matter how u do it and winter seems to be easier probally cause its cold

i have had my best luck with need fuel signs, but Everybody needs a little help sometimes, works also. our best was at christmas and it said homeless for the holidays, we had a good christmas that year.

flyin a sign is way to easy money, we try to stay away from it as much as possible on highway child …….
but then wee get lazy and greedy, hit up a super walmart in one of those over priced over retailed areas of town we all hate …..drop off cats at each exit and pull moado loot in like an hour

out of gas by far is the platinum card

the ninja sign is cool funny signs can work well if you dont look all depressed while flying,

one of our guys jordan , whilwe we were in rosswell newmexico stripped down to a pair of speedos made out of an american flag and then wore a silver short cape ….hit up a main intersection and flew a sign need cash for clothes….

think he made a quarter, but it was the funniest shit Ive ever seen…

funny signs don’t always get you what you want, but it def. makes you and others smile. goods times flyin fun signs…
Flying a funny sign can be a great way to avoid getting run off in those areas where it’s "illegal" because you’re not actually asking for anything. another good one is " What if I was your Kid?"
