does anyone have info re the climate in (shudder) AR?
gaia
well i just checked & the weather in ark at this very momment is the exact same temp as here in philly 76 degrees
but thats just at this momment & doesnt mean that tomoro won’t be 95 but then again might be 95 here too
what id love to know is the altitude because that has as much if not more effect on the exact weather we’ll see then the lattitude (or is it longitude?)

the highest point in arkansas is 2750 so altitude is mute.. the reason its so cool now is its rained earlier..
It’s been very cool for this time of year in TX but 92 is cool in TX in late June…and a lot more rain than usual. Everything I’ve seen on the weather over the last couple of weeks says that Ark is having similar weather to us, maybe a little cooler.
Can any one convert in Celsius? I am melting just reading it..
or going up in flames..
95 degree??!
Water boil at 100 degree. thats armagedon in arkansas, unless you’ve got a converter..
I think 212 is boiling in fahrenheit…. 95 fahrenheit is 35 celsius (if the conversion page was right) a little less than body temperature
Oh! Thanks! so thats 60 degree less each time?
no, must be more.
1 degree celcius is roughly 1.8 degrees farenhiet 0 celcius is 32 F..
so 95F is roughly 35 celcius,, so hippiestead was correct….
I cheated…I went to a convertion page
picked this up today…it’s probaly about right…folks we know up near there have said close to the same:

If anyone is interested, I just did a check of the weather in the
area. Kingston, AR had the nearest weather info to Fallsville with
the program that I use, and it will be in the mid 80’s during the day
and the mid to upper 60’s during the evening, and at least the
Gathering will start off with sunny skies. Not bad at all, in my opinion.

Here on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon today it’s 88 degrees with 6% humidity.
It is hot here in the summer. It is also humid, a combination visitors find unpleasant. You can check the weather forecast at several sites if you like. Someone used to these conditions may sweat during a leisurely walk in the afternoon but it depends on how much the person weights. There are also hungry ticks, chiggers and mosquitoes.
omg a bro of mine had an issue with chiggers at a gathering a few years ago! I just packed bug spray, anti-itch stuff and stuff to put on posion ivy and things of that sort.

shade and water, folks.
I lived in Okla a few hours away for a (can it be) decade and summers were atrocious, BUT you do adjust.
dry mix gatorade, or salt lemonade is a fine treat.
