Sorry for the lenght up front guys…lots of thoughts and no organization….lol. Well, I was sitting in the back of my english class (with no teacher..wen’t to make copys) like everyother day talking with my best friend who is gay and open but not pushing it on everyone. I mean he’s not going around yelling "Hey I’m Gay!" he just nod’s when asked and will be open with his boyfriend..also in my english class. Well, this is college remember where we are supposed to be adults, durring class today these two skinheads (if you don’t know what they are they are vile disgusting animals who shave thier heads and worship hitler) can over to them both and started to beat the shit out of them while screaming "god hates gays"…I mean they both have black eyes and Jason is sitting in the emergency room right now getting his hand put into a cast..(also no one stepped up to do anything). Once I noticed what was giong on..happened so fast I didn’t know how to react at first, I jumped in and got one of them off while pretty much getting my assed kicked too (lets just say I was a receiver on the football team so I’m not a very big guy). Now here’s where it gets interesting…these two kids are obviously going to have police problems..assult battery..hopefully they’ll have to pay for my buddies hand, but so am I! The cops said that the kid I knocked out was 17 and that his parents are pressing charges against me for assult. Now the most I’m looking at is 30days and a fine (I’ve done more time for smoke so thats not what I’m pissed about) and they say I can’t use defense because it was my friends who were attacked not me and that I should have stayed out of it!!!!! Can you fucking beleive this? I mean yeah they were suspended from the campus (as far as I know they are considering expelling them) but why the fuck and I getting charged! Isn’t this some bull shit? They are telling me I should have watched my friends get beaten sensless by animals instead of defending them? What is this going to do to society in the long run? Maybe it’ll be on the news…if you live in ft myers check it out, but thats fucked up! Oh btw they are both ok now just in some pain. I was just wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen for a reason as stupid as being gay? I mean you guys have a lot of courage to come out and let people know when you could face something like my friends. I’m proud of each and everyone of you for having the courage to step up, and for those keeping it private..I can now say I understand why.

Sorry for the long post..I just really needed to vent somewhere and neither of the two I usually talk to are able (hopefully at home sleeping it off). Anyway…ugh…

yeah, Im in Berlin in Germany, so es gibt hier skinheads, I suppose. But I dont really worry about it because one, how would a complete stranger know I was gay (Im one of those poeple that no one can ever tell is gay, but I too, am willing to admit it if it ever comes up, I just dont talk about it for now reason, and Im open about having had a boyfriend and all), and two, the only time it is a problem in the city is if youre alone with them, meaning at night in a hidden away place…so I dont plan on hanging around skinheads, and if I see them, I would go the other way or something.

But wow, thats terrible. I am really proud of you, that you were willing to risk your comfort and safety for them. Its good to know that there are people out there who are willing to stand up for others. Me, I am so pacifist that I dont know what I would do, if I was the one being beat up…I guess, naturally, fight for them to get off, but I really dont know…

Anywho, youre great. Fuck the police, and FUCK those fucking skinheads, and especially their SICK parents who are pressing charges, that makes me SICK.

Wow, that sucks man. I just don’t know why someone would try and do something like that. So you guys know I haven’t heard from the parents directly yet so I don’t know 100 where they are going with that (just with what the cops said) My buddy broke his wrist and two fingers but they say he’ll be ok in a few months so thats good news atleast. My other friend just has a few bruises and what not so again thats good news. Thanks for the support..I just needed to get some frustration out somewhere.

it is really fucking typical of american attitude to sue. Yanno, it really doesn’t surprise me in the least the parents did this .. "oh no, not my little johnny. he couldn’t have started beating up another kid. he was attacked first" you could show them a video and they still wouldn’t believe it.

although I hate lawsuits, you should countersue their kid for injuries sustained Your two friends should also sue the sons, each a different lawsuit. You should/could see if you could get others that were in the class to write letters of what they witnessed. I’d also check with the police about filing charges against the two.
That is a disturbing incident. The violence will never make sense to me.

The kids parents are pressing charges, not the cops. Where do you think the kids learn the hate? The cops are just telling you the score. They can’t seem to take sides. But who knows, there may be quite a few red-neck cops in your parts. Either way, take it as a hint -what they seem to be telling you more than anything is: get a lawyer. Contact the state gay organizations for help in finding a lawyer.
Try Defense for references.

If you had any reason to fear for your friends well being, which you obviously did, you would be remiss to not try to help stop the attack. The question of the law would be if you used undue force. A good lawyer would help you prove your actions were justafied.

You are the hero here. Any lawyer will see that.
Get all the help you can, lawful, emotional, plus contacting the gay rights group, do not allow the wrong to happen and make sure the people who deserve to go down for it are the skinhead pricks.

One person can bring the world to it’s knees, it only takes one ant to bring down the hill. Basically I’m saying that there’s always the possibility that this case will affect more then just the people involved and depending on the outcome it may also makes thing better for the innocent and bad for the ones who did the crime.

Skinheads…I would fucking love them to try it on me, They’d defiantly get a shock.
