Woodstock’s Child…do your homework (search the forum) and before you jump up and down in happiness, please consider that the last time there was a Gathering in the state that will make you happy there was a very high law enforcement presence (not that there won’t be law enforcement where ever we are…and that is something you should think about of your parents are against you going to Rainbow in the first place. The LEOs at the Gathering get daily description lists of runaways…)

Looks like i’m finally going to get to go to nationals this year, never been. Haven’t seen family since the late 90’s…..I really hope it’s NOT in Texas though, I have very little desire to visit such a place, and the potential for LEO’s there scares the hell out of me….

just got back from cleanup in ocala. had a WONDERFUL gathering. neway, im hearing arkansas from every1 there.
I live in northeast Texas, and I think that the Ouichita mountain area of southeast Oklahoma or southwest Arkansas would be great. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a few natural hot springs to soak in at the gathering? Besides, as someone mentioned earlier, the trees of this eco region would be really nice.
There won’t be psychedelics at the gathering? I at least want to try shrooms.

I’m just plain afraid of Texas…………hell, it seems like everytime I go into the south I either get hassled, stared at relentlessly, or arrested…….went to VA in 99, didn’t leave till 03, lol.

-Not that I have ANYTHING against the south, I think their are some VERY beautiful places, I love appalachia, bluegrass, and southern hospitality, I know some great southern people as well…………..it’s just the LEO factor, rampant neo- conservatism, and fundamentalists that scare me.

i’m not bummed out yet.
and i have never had a bum trip.
my mind was made for psychedelics.

some are lucky that way, some aren’t.

and then there’s the issue of making sure that you’re hanging out trustworthy folks who won’t take advantage of a sweet little tripping teen…… I can tell you this, when our oldest decided to dose at a Gathering, we hung out with her.

depends what you consider big time I guess, I stayed on tour from summer 96 to fall 99 then I was out of commission till 2003, jumped back on for the Summer 04 tour……….things had changed drastically by then.
