Yesterday morning, Monday 17 July, my Lady Dragonfly gave birth to Cynthia Lynn, 8 lbs 8 1/2 oz 19 3/4 in, after going into labor at 2:30 Friday morning. So, what did you guys do this weekend?
Congrats brother! The Mama was in labor for a long time it seems. I hope she’s resting now. Babies are amazing! Goodluck! This weekend I went to a gathering/party in the woods. It was quite an amazing time.

Hey ya’ll, I had an idea and maybe it’s crazy, but here goes. I know someone who is in the "young, dumb, and full of cum" catagory. OK, so he’s MY kid. But he’s a good kid really. He’s been introduced to rainbow and doesn’t quite get it, but he’s been pretty intrigued. His first national he described as a "life changing experience" but he did not elaborate. Well, he got into some scrapes, and finally started growing up some, got a job, started getting responsible, discovered that his "friends" were not cool like he thought and started getting away from them. You know the story, but no "happily ever after" here. Anyhow, he got arrested a month ago for something that happened a year and a half ago, and now he’s sitting in jail. No one can go his bail, except one of his sisters and she WON’T (says she wouldn’t even bail her old man out if he got arrested). He is badly depressed and pretty freaked out, ’cause I guess he had no idea that he was in trouble, so it was a total shock to him. He is feeling real isolated. No girlfriend to write him, none of his remaining "friends" dare to go anywhere near the jail to visit him, the only mail he gets is from me. (What a nightmare to be a 20 year old guy and be stuck in jail with only your mom to talk to!!!) Jail is 65 miles away and no one has gas money either, so he has had no visitors at all. His sisters don’t write him, too busy I guess. He has panic attacks too, and when that happens they put him on something called "suicide watch" where they lock you up alone with nothing but your underwear. No blanket, no toilet paper, nothing. And they proceed to freeze you to death….

ok iam feelin sorta down today, and i know why, i see all this pain and suffreing in the world, its like i feel mother earth weeping over everything. it makes me sad, the goverment is tearing down more trees to build things, that really upsets me, the land is all we have, how can we show fututre genrations the land, if its not there.

Only recently have I found the Rainbows, and it seems like a definite future "home" for me. I grew up in Colorado, and when I read the past Gathering was held there I was anxious to see pics. I was expecting to find pics of peace, love, maybe some music? But to my suprise I saw pigs running around, beating up hippies. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?

" When large numbers of people started showing up in Colorado for the gathering in June, 1972, Governor John Love had- the roads blockaded into the gathering site. People started hiking across the mountains to the site - a three day hike. Finally 4,000 people stood in front of the road block asking to be let into the gathering. The road block yielded - the people walked eight miles up the road to the gathering site. By July 4, there were 20,000 people at the gathering. Before daybreak on July 4, several thousand of these people walked to Table Mountain, seven miles from the site. Howdy Ya’ll!

I was wondering if anybody had any information on music events which coincided with gatherings? I have heard that occasionally some type of dance event pops up off site from a gathering, say a mile or so away in the forest. I was wondering what the family here thinks of this? I have only been to a few gatherings, two national and two regional, and have not really heard this topic disscussed. I understand the need to keep electricity out of a gathering, surely the boombox battles of concert lots have demonstrated why there would be a problem. Also I can see how amplified music may hurt the rainbow reputation, shifting from prayer towards party.
