Dear gang,

As I think I’ve mentioned here before, I’m planning — for the tenth or eleventh straight year — to attend my very first Rainbow Family gathering. As some of you may know from the Bare It forum, I’m also a bit of a nudist. I wouldn’t call myself a direhard or a fanatic, but I’ve never been one to keep my clothes on when I get a green light to strip them off.

From what I understand, Rainbow gatherins are nude-friendly, at least in principle. In every Rainbow photo album, I’ve seen at least one picture of a naked guy or gal. But something tells me there are rules of protocol that limit where and when to strip off. Rainbows being rainbows, the rules are probably unwritten and subject to dispute. So I’m asking you all now: what tips would you give a would-be sun worshipper on how to enjoy himself at a gathering without offending anyone?

So AR, they picked arkansas, Well I lived in AR for a while and damn it’s pretty but I wouldn’t wanna be there for the summer, so I wanna know if eathermother or Hillbilly or Alabama Joan ect. ect is going to have an alternative gathering for those who either A. HATE the idea of going to the mid south, B. Know pot laws are absolutely terrible in arkansas considering anything over one oz is prison time. or C. just can’t get that far away from there home stead because they can’t find a way there, or can’t afford a way there. So please tell me if there is anyone ANYWHERE doing something outside of AR, TX or OK.

OK, I can’t remember where I saw it, and if it’s still around, please move this to it. But I was reading another topic a while ago and you got on to the question of are there any films or TV shows where being gay isn’t the central theme. So I was thinking about it for ages and came up with a couple and thought other people could put ones that they can thinkof and so on.

Sorry for the lenght up front guys…lots of thoughts and no organization….lol. Well, I was sitting in the back of my english class (with no teacher..wen’t to make copys) like everyother day talking with my best friend who is gay and open but not pushing it on everyone. I mean he’s not going around yelling "Hey I’m Gay!" he just nod’s when asked and will be open with his boyfriend..also in my english class. Well, this is college remember where we are supposed to be adults, durring class today these two skinheads (if you don’t know what they are they are vile disgusting animals who shave thier heads and worship hitler) can over to them both and started to beat the shit out of them while screaming "god hates gays"…I mean they both have black eyes and Jason is sitting in the emergency room right now getting his hand put into a cast..(also no one stepped up to do anything). Once I noticed what was giong on..happened so fast I didn’t know how to react at first, I jumped in and got one of them off while pretty much getting my assed kicked too (lets just say I was a receiver on the football team so I’m not a very big guy). Now here’s where it gets interesting…these two kids are obviously going to have police problems..assult battery..hopefully they’ll have to pay for my buddies hand, but so am I! The cops said that the kid I knocked out was 17 and that his parents are pressing charges against me for assult. Now the most I’m looking at is 30days and a fine (I’ve done more time for smoke so thats not what I’m pissed about) and they say I can’t use defense because it was my friends who were attacked not me and that I should have stayed out of it!!!!! Can you fucking beleive this? I mean yeah they were suspended from the campus (as far as I know they are considering expelling them) but why the fuck and I getting charged! Isn’t this some bull shit? They are telling me I should have watched my friends get beaten sensless by animals instead of defending them? What is this going to do to society in the long run? Maybe it’ll be on the news…if you live in ft myers check it out, but thats fucked up! Oh btw they are both ok now just in some pain. I was just wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen for a reason as stupid as being gay? I mean you guys have a lot of courage to come out and let people know when you could face something like my friends. I’m proud of each and everyone of you for having the courage to step up, and for those keeping it private..I can now say I understand why.
