most people who hate hippies do not go to gatherings …..so how will they run into the drunks at a-camp?

Well, not strictly rainbow related, but I’m most likely going to be driving to Colorado with my boyfriend (and someone else if anyone needs a ride).. but I’m wondering if maybe I should just try to find a ride with someone who is going that way from here…….. because I haven’t really driven very far..

Is it insanely hard driving through cities, or on busy interstates…… should I try to avoid the cities if I drive? Any tips for first time distance drivers (I’ve been driving since I was 16, had my license since I was 18, and had one minor accident… I’m not a "bad" driver, just inexperienced) The furtherest I’ve ever driven would be like Richmond which is 3 hours from me…. nothing like 20some hours.. I don’t get lost easily and am good with one way streets, if that helps anything.

This stuff happened over a period of months and i am too dense to figure it out. Maybe y’all can help.

The short story is i volunteered to work on a shitter at welcome home, and then apparently was rude to some people who in the end taught me a lesson. Don’t try to be sly with these folks they will see right though you.
Hopefully my attempt to bring this issue to the fore will redeem me for not doing so earlier.

My family & I plan to arrive at the gathering sometime during the start of the final week of June. I really want to be involved with set up & camp / kitchen during this gathering and plan to be centered in Kiddie Village. Anyone planning to be there around this time? What needs to be done, brought in, etc.? I would like to know what is most needed / helpful for us to bring so to help contribute w/ food, fun, shelter, etc. Would love to touch base with others planning to be centered in Kiddie Village.
