so its almost time to decide whether or not we are gonna be able to make it home this year.

finances an time off are not a issue,however our critters are.

the problem is who will take care of our goats,pig,cats,dog,chickens and 2 acres of gardens while we are gone?

the gardens can be let go except for harvesting what needs to be harvested,but the animals have to be fed an watered twice a day.

im sure we aint the only phamily to have had this problem.

Well, I was organizing stuff for my move…(building a white pine house wayyyyyy back in the Smoky Mtns, pictures coming soon)…..but I digress!

Anyway, while boxing things up I found the "Howdy Folks" from the 1987 Rainbow Gathering. I remember (faintly) somebody, somewhere, on some online forum, asking if anybody had any old flyers, and one of them that he/she wanted was this one.

Anybody know who was looking for this flyer???? Twenty years ago and its still in pretty good shape.

this bus has been nothing but hell
ive worked seven days a week non stop just to pay it off then i lose my damn home when i had to come to canada and got stuck here for almost two weeks ya im still stuck here cuz they wont let me out of this damn country then i run out of money since ive been stuck here but the damn bus needs damn oil change and tire before i can bring it home o yeah and then after i magically get this thing home i get to work seven days a week again just to pay the bills

So AR, they picked arkansas, Well I lived in AR for a while and damn it’s pretty but I wouldn’t wanna be there for the summer, so I wanna know if eathermother or Hillbilly or Alabama Joan ect. ect is going to have an alternative gathering for those who either A. HATE the idea of going to the mid south, B. Know pot laws are absolutely terrible in arkansas considering anything over one oz is prison time. or C. just can’t get that far away from there home stead because they can’t find a way there, or can’t afford a way there. So please tell me if there is anyone ANYWHERE doing something outside of AR, TX or OK.

This year will be my first gathering. I want to know if it will be more enjoyable for my wife, kids, and myself if we bring them or leave them at grammas. They are 1 and 5 and I’m concerned with how well they’ll do in the woods for a week.

All advice and experiences appreciated.
id say it all depends on what your looking for out of the gathering.if your lookin for a family experience,its there,.. if thats what your askin.. in my opinion kids are what make the gatherings. there what its all about.. they are our future..

well i just checked & the weather in ark at this very momment is the exact same temp as here in philly 76 degrees

but thats just at this momment & doesnt mean that tomoro won’t be 95 but then again might be 95 here too
what id love to know is the altitude because that has as much if not more effect on the exact weather we’ll see then the lattitude (or is it longitude?)
