I just got phone call that Little Hawk arrived at Shanty Pond. This is The Raven. A-Camp will have the BAR again & the front gate will have Little Hawk. If you don’t like it "STAY AWAY." A-Camp has been around longer than most of those who complain about it. Take away A-Camp at the Ocala gathering and the rednecks (who really hate hippies) will come in and terrorize you. The LEO’s & Marion County Sheriff haven’t had to call the EMT’s or take anybody out who was beaten n bloody in a couple of years. IN-YOUR-NECK!!!

I know alchohol is discuraged at gatherings, but what about marijuana?
Ganja is great, and most would not chide you at all for bringing, smoking and sharing. But this brings us back to the whole issue with the permit and the idea of the gathering being a peaceful protest (?). If we really want to say that we have the right to gather, without governmental interference, then we need to leave the illegals behind. One fight at a time, I’m all for fighting for the legalization of cannibus, but the fact remains it is not only an illegal substance, there is a war declared on it. That alone gives them reason to come in and declare our peaceful gatherings a "menace to society".

remember that old adage about "shooting ducks in a barrel"? what that means is you group your victims together and they are a lot easier to take down. well, for some reason (and i could go off about that but i’m on a mission here so bear with me a minute) it has been declared open season on hippies. and festivals are getting really, really nasty. i just got this sent to me about wakarusa.

so be really, really careful and know your rights. there is no such thing as a safe festival anymore, especially the venues like smilefest and wakarusa that are known to be "shooting ducks in a barrel".

I dont know if anyone is really gonna understand this, and i have a.d.d. so bear with me if i go in different directions here and there.
I just turned 40 last month, the last 17 years i lived in Michigan. Ive always been a wanderer and never stayed in one place too long except there, and i dont know why.
I have no family to speak of, my friends have always been my fam. I lived on the streets for 8 years during my teens and early 20’s. Now i find myself in Portland Oregon and i really dont know why. I just packed up some things and left Michigan 4 weeks ago. I really like it here and im looking for work but something is missing and i cant really put my finger on it.

A great festival is taking place in ………..france!!! this year is the sixth of the didjeridu, jaw harps and throat singing fest. we invite ancestral culture from around the world to come to share knowledge and music with us. This four days between 18 and 21st of july.

Ok, maybe I am just being a paranoid freak but I’m going to the Ocala gathering tommorw and I want to take pictures with my digital camera (cannon rebel) but I am worried people will judge me or think I am a cop. I don’t know, I really love photography and want to capture beautiful rainbows but I feel worried..what do you guys think?
is taking pictures with a pretty nice camera ok at gatherings?
can i ask people if i can take their pictures or is this too intrusive?
