I was just sitting there and wondering this. Say I was driving and I got pulled over and they ask or drivers license and insurance, what if I say nope don’t got those but my name is Gyva only…. how long can they put me in jail before they have to release me? I bet my car would be gone or towed. Can someone share the pros and cons of giving the LEO’s a fake name…. Driving I bet is a different story than just walking around the gathering and getting ticketed (Which I did at the Idaho gathering! $75.00 for being to close to a salmon stream and I was about 3 miles up road of the parking lot road turn off with a friend just sitting there on a dirt road that wasn’t closed off or anything! Grrr…) But had I given that ranger a fake name would I have gotten off…. Any storys would be great to hear as I might just leave my drivers licenes in my car and become someone else if it puts me in a better position and could avoid what happend to me at Idaho 2001……

My husband married me four years ago knowing that I was a hipy, but today Ive been informed that he thinks that hippies are child molesters and that i cant take my nine month old daughter raven with me to the gathering because he thinks i cant PROTECT her. I broke down and cried like a sissy when i heard all of that there,, not too sure what to do about it,, my other daughter cheyanne isnt his by blood so he told me he cant stop me from bringing her buit that i cant take my lil one. What could be going through his head to think that a peaceful gatehring of people would be bad for her. If anything I cant imagine a better place for her to be. I bet my lil one would love it there. Anyone got any good ideas on how to talk to him ? or what to do? Im lost here guys,,, no frigen clue what the hell to do now,, any ideas?

well, I tried to go home today. I was met at the beginning of FS 505 by a Feddie road block. There were (as of 7 am today,6/20) about thirty ‘rainbow vehicles’ and at least 50 hippies on the outside of the roadblock. I was told there are either a ‘couple hundred’ or a ‘few hundred’ or ’several hundred’ folks who are inside the site, depending on who I asked, The people on site obviously got there before the feds. The FS ICT will not allow anybody in or out (people can leave but they may not return). Also, they are writing tickets. I spoke to one person who was ticketed for walking past the imaginary line that the Feddies have drawn in the sand. Court date for the tickets is on 6/23. The folks at the road block said that the folks who are behind the roadblock are being hassled and ticketed, although I could not speak to any of them.

i checked the weather report. average daytime temp around 80 (great-not too hot!) it gets to be round 60 by 8 pm, and down to 40 through the night. bring some blankets!

See what happens when a few Rainbows take it upon themselves to play the permit game; the FS denies it anyway. Maybe they want the Rainbows to Gather at a site with endangered species….it’s happened before, the FS wanting us at a site that is totally inappropriet(bad spelling) for a Gathering.
One reason sited for the denial of the permit is because there is only one way in or out…is that because they want better access to pull the night raids that they’ve also done before????

CLARK — The Rainbow Family peace gathering turned hostile Tuesday when a group of attendees began hurling rocks and sticks at law enforcement officers, U.S. Forest Service officials said.

The incident forced the officers to abandon a checkpoint they had established near the entrance to the Rainbow gathering campsite in North Routt County, Forest Service spokeswoman Diann Ritschard said. Officers had not returned to the checkpoint as of Tuesday afternoon.
